These unique chemigrams were created as part of an Experimental Photography course. Using light-sensitive paper, I conducted multiple experiments using household items. This type of paper captures and reacts to its surroundings, making it akin to a black box, recording everything it encounters.
These images were later compiled into a book called "Black Box," which was a one-of-a-kind edition. "Black Box" is organized around four key principles outlined in a Portuguese law-decree related to State Secrets: (1) exceptionality, (2) correspondence of terms, (3) timing, and (4) grounding, each corresponding to a chapter in the book.
